Rag & Bone originated in 2002 in New York, the city where many a fashion company got its start. The Rag & Bone company quickly distinguished itself by combining the British heritage of the two founders, Marcus Wainwright and David Neville, with a modern edgy aesthetic. Their fashion line is known for its classic tailoring and wearability. Remarkably, the two designers have no formal fashion training. Instead, they underwent an apprenticeship of sorts, immersing themselves in the work of some skilled, local manufacturers. And this learning period served them to good effect. In 2007, the company took home the Swarovsky Award for emerging talent. And in 2010, the two designers went on to be named the Menswear Designers of the Year by the CFDA (Council of Fashion Designers of America). Savvy fashion lovers find women's and men's ready-to-wear fashions plus accessories and shoes when they shop the Rag & Bone website.
