Amazon is on a mission to take over the world and their history reads like a classic garage-to-massive-warehouse fairy tale. The company started in founder Jeff Bezos' garage in 1995. He planned to name the company cadabra but his lawyers nixed that idea for sounding too much like cadaver. Ultimately, he went with Amazon simply because, back when it all began, the search engine algorithms were alphabetical which would put Amazon near the top. Amazon's warehouses are now larger than 700 Madison Square Gardens put together. Amazon France allows the people of France and neighboring countries to take full advantage of everything Amazon has to offer. With the click of a mouse, they can order clothes, electronics, DVDs, toys, exercise equipment and books – those paper things that first made Amazon a household name.
