Mexicali Blues sounds like something you'd suffer from when you have to come back from vacation. However, the unique clothing, accessories and home goods sold at Mexicali Blues are actual the cure for your wanderlusting soul. Back in 1988, owners Pete and Kim Erskine took their passion for travel and global decor and turned a road trip into a business, selling eclectic finds from around the world. From its beginnings as a tiny Maine storefront, the business has expanded to six retail locations, an online shopping and social hub, and its own brand of clothing, gifts and accessories. At Mexicali Blues, you'll find funky handmade apparel and jewelry, and Eastern-influenced home decor items including paper lanterns, prayer flags, sculptures, masks, textiles and tapestries. Interspersed throughout, you will also see plenty of Grateful Dead merchandise, including concert posters and tie-dyed tees, in a nod to the site's namesake.
