Getz's has come a long way in the last century or so. In the late 1800s, it was known as “The Beehive,” a corner dry-goods store in Michigamme, MI, where local coal miners purchased their work apparel and footwear. As the years passed, the store eventually took on the name of founder Louis Getz. By the 1900s, Getz's grew to serve and clothe not only the miners at work, but also in their home lives, as well as their families and communities. Today, Getz's sells workwear, activewear, sportswear and casual clothing from more than 70 name brands, including Wrangler, The North Face and Columbia. It's also one of the biggest online distributors of Carhartt brand clothing in the country.
