Cavender's is a western-wear retailer that has become synonymous with 'the well-dressed Texan.' But it didn't start that way. Rewind to 1957 and John Cavender was beginning his first venture in Pittsburg, Texas: opening a Dairy Mart. His dedication to customer service and all-hands-on-deck work ethic paid off and eight years later, he opened a retail store that catered to men's and boy's western wear. Today, the family-owned-and-operated store has grown to include apparel and gear for cowgirls, too, boasts the largest selection of boots in the world, and has 70 locations nationwide. From Wrangler jeans and Stetson shirts to cowboy hats and boots, Cavender's can dress you head to toe for a day out in the stables or find you the perfect ensemble for the renowned Cattle Baron's Ball.
