Today, Mills Fleet Farm prides itself on being the source for everything Midwesterners – and with the launch of their website, customers nationwide – might desire for work, home and play. However, Mills Fleet Farm wasn’t always the go-to supply station it is today. The company started in 1922 when Stewart C. Mills Sr. acquired a car dealership in Brainerd, MN. After World War II, the Mills Company owners began searching for ways to support more than just car owners. Mills and his sons opened a wholesale farming supply company in Wisconsin, cutting out the middle-man and selling direct to farmers. Enjoying the opportunity to provide customers with more than oil, cars and car parts, the Mills family continued to expand their product line and to open more stores across the Midwest. Today, visitors to Mills Fleet Farm will find quality hunting and fishing supplies, the newly opened Toyland, clothes, an array of supplies for Fido and Fluffy, sporting goods and, of course, everything drivers need to keep their ride in tip-top shape. The company is in its third generation of family ownership, yet remains committed to its founding values of honesty, integrity, hard work, service and loyalty.
