Edwin Watts was born with a love for golf. As a young boy, he caddied at local golf courses and immersed himself in everything from cleaning clubs to selling golf-related merchandise. In 1963, Edwin became head pro at a new course, making him responsible for running the pro shop. At this time, most pro shops focused mainly on selling apparel, but Edwin wanted to set his shop apart by expanding to clubs and equipment. Since quality products proved difficult to find, he set a goal of tracking down reliable sources to make the best quality items available to his customers. Edwin and his brother redesigned the pro shop to feature this new focus on equipment, and Edwin Watts Golf was born. Over 44 years, the shop has grown to become the industry’s premium supplier of the finest products, with a website and chain of over 85 stores in 20 states.
