The Abbey Press got its start in 1867 when the Saint Meinrad Archabbey, a Benedictine monastery from Indiana, needed a printing press for their own personal needs. After taking orders from the outside community, Abbey Press grew in size and used much of its revenue to support the monks and their local work within the church. Today, Abbey Press offers their expertise in creating anything from newsletters to greeting cards, using the best available printing technology. What's even better is their continued dedication to the community they serve. Local monks are supported through the Abbey Press, where they offer high school courses, undergraduate college courses, and preparation for other young men to serve as priests.
