The day after I gave birth to my son, I looked at his tiny, helpless little form swaddled in blankets… and I freaked out a little. This teeny tiny guy was my responsibility now! I somehow forgot that I had a husband, parents, in-laws, and a whole army of friends waiting to help me out, and I felt overwhelmed and alone. Luckily, when I got home, I remembered that other people existed. The stress lifted as I accepted help from others and got used to my new life with a baby.
