How to Return Hot Topic Online Purchases by Mail
This article will discuss how to return online purchases made from Hot Topic. Hot Topic has a simple return policy, but keep in mind that all merchandise must be returned within 45 days of purchase. Clearance merchandise is not eligible for return or exchange.
Step 1 - The invoice that was received with your package is needed to return Hot Topic online purchases. This invoice has valuable information needed to require a return authorization from customer service.
STEP 2 - Contact customer service to get a return authorization number. Returns will not be accepted without this number. U.S. customers dial 1-800-892-8674. Outside the U.S. dial 1-626-709-1189. When speaking with customer service, you will need to have the item number (located on this invoice) that you are returning, the reason for the return, and the name the merchandise was ordered under.
STEP 3 - Once you have been given a return authorization number, you are ready to return your online purchases. Simply repackage your item and ship via USPS, UPS, or FedEx. Be sure to enclose a copy of your invoice, as well as the return authorization number given by customer service.
