Does Carnival Cruise have a Cancellation Fee

Carnival cruise has a complete cancellation policy. The termination cost will depend on the type of cruise you have booked and the amount of time before the cruise departs; under certain circumstances, you may or may not have to pay a cancellation fee. 

If you have an early cancellation, you are less likely to have to pay a portion of your fare as a cancellation fee. Purchasing trip cancellation insurance will exempt you from the cancellations fees. The fees are as follows:

2 to 5 Day Cruises

• For cruises sailing more than 61 days from cancellation, there is no charge except for Cruise-to-Nowhere and Early Saver Fares, which forfeit the deposit.
• For cruises sailing between 30 and 60 days from cancellation date, the deposit is not refunded.
• For cruises sailing between 8 and 29 days from cancellation date, the cancellation fee is half of the fare.
• For cruises sailing 7 or fewer days form cancellation date, the fare is not refunded.

6 to 8 Day Cruises

• For cruises sailing more than 76 days from cancellation, there is no charge except for Early Saver Fares, which forfeit the deposit.
• For cruises sailing between 30 and 75 days from cancellation date, the deposit is not refunded.
• For cruises sailing between 8 and 29 days from cancellation date, the cancellation fee is half of the fare.
• For cruises sailing 7 or fewer days form cancellation date, the fare is not refunded.

Alaska Cruises, CruiseTours, and 10 Day or Longer Cruises

• For cruises sailing more than 76 days from cancellation, there is no charge except for Early Saver Fares, which forfeit the deposit.
• For cruises sailing between 46 and 75 days from cancellation date, the deposit is not refunded.
• For cruises sailing between 15 and 45 days from cancellation date, the cancellation fee is half of the fare.
• For cruises sailing 14 or fewer days form cancellation date, the fare is not refunded.

12 and 16 Day Europe Cruises, 14, 17 and 18 Day South American Cruises and 14 Day Panama Canal Cruise

• For cruises sailing more than 91 days from cancellation, there is no charge.
• For cruises sailing between 56 and 90 days from cancellation date, the deposit is not refunded.
• For cruises sailing between 15 and 55 days from cancellation date, the cancellation fee is half of the fare.
• For cruises sailing 14 or fewer days form cancellation date, the fare is not refunded.
