Border's Return Policy: What to Expect

Borders has a reliable and straight-forward Return Policy. Orders placed online can be returned by mail or to a Borders store near you. For more information on how to return an item to Borders, please read the following information.

Returning Orders by Mail
When you receive your order from Borders online store, you'll find a packing slip and pre-printed return label to make a return quick and easy. You can return your order in the shipping box. Additionally, all you'll have to do is place the pre-printed return label over the original shipping label, place your original packing slip, completed returns form, and item inside to be returned. 

Returning Orders to a Store
Online returns can be made at any Borders, Borders Express, Borders Outlet, or Waldenbooks store location in the U.S. Your packing slip will be needed in order to process the return. Please note that returns must processed within 30 days of when the order was originally placed. Books, CD's, and DVD's must be returned in their original condition, and any individual product packaging must be unopened.

Refunds on Returned Items
For online purchases returned by mail, refunds are provided in the original payment method. For a credit card refund, allow up to four weeks for the refund to be processed. For online purchases returned to the store, you will receive a gift card or store credit for the amount of the returned item.
