Shipping Information for Online Purchases from Alibris
Alibris ships your orders from both thousands of individual sellers and from its warehouse. If your order comes directly from Albris, and not one of their independent sellers, then it is eligible for free or discounted shipping. Anything that ships from outside the United States will require more time. Here is some shipping information facts:
Shipping Methods
Alibris offers six shipping methods: free (if you spend $49 or more on eligible books), standard, expedited, trackable expedited, and two types of express shipping: two-day air and one-day air. Two-day and one-day air can’t be used for items going to Alaska, Hawaii or to APO/FPO addresses. Orders heading to Canada go via Canadian post and orders going to an overseas address are shipped using standard international or priority international methods.
How long until you get your books?
When your order is received will depend on the type of shipping method you pick. It also makes a difference if the items are being shipped from Alibris or one of their independent sellers. Those things shipped by Alibris are usually sent out on the first business day after you place your order, but if they are being mailed out by one of their independent sellers, it usually takes two or three days to process the order before it is mailed. You can see the list of the estimated timeframes of shipments on their website.
Consolidated Shipping
Consolidated shipping allows customers get discounted rates when they order from one of the independent sellers and the items are shipped to the U.S. The way it works is that the first item ordered is charged at the standard rate, but each other item from the same seller is charged a lesser amount. However, if you buy items from more than one seller at the same time, you will be charged the standard rate for shipping for the first item once again.
