You can make money selling your used books and music online at Alibris. They have opportunities for both professional and casual sellers. It’s a great chance to make some spare money. Here is how you can get started and be able to sell books online.

Setting up your account

Sellers can choose from between Alibris Basic or Alibris Gold sellers’ plans.  Both can be set up on their website quite easily using their easy directions.

Alibris Basic

This program is meant for people who don’t sell huge amounts of used books or music. Alibris basic selling plan offer a flat rate for seller’s fees of $1 per each book sold. There is also an annual fee of $19.99 and there is a 15 percent commission charged for each item based on how much it sells for, but you will never pay more than $60 per item.

Alibris Gold

Alibris Gold clients are usually those selling hundreds of used books every month.  Alibris Gold clients pay a onetime processing fee of $19.99 but thereafter there are no annual fees owed. There is a 15 percent commission fee just like the one charged in the Alibris Basic program.  Clients also must pay a monthly fee instead of a flat rate per each item sold. For instance, if a client sells between zero and 500 books in a month, they must pay a $9.95 fee.
