Chuck Surack, founder and president of Sweetwater Music isn't just some Ivy League businessman in a suit. He's a real-deal music lover. In fact, aside from touring with several bands, he spent his formative years driving around in a VW bus he'd converted into a mobile production studio and eventually gained enough of a rep to work with acts like Aerosmith, Stevie Wonder and Dolly Parton. He may have ditched the van and gotten a suit and tie, but that spirit still lives at Sweetwater. Musicians trust them not only because of their insane selection of gear, but because the people who work there are as crazy about music as anyone on the planet.
