For a skier or snowboarder, the summer is just one long wait until the snow comes back. Ned Hamilton was one of those maniacs. He taught skiing at a local college and owned a clothing store, whose basement he filled with ski gear for sale. Soon the basement was outselling the upstairs and he decided to open a ski shop and name it after his son, Peter Glenn Hamilton. Today, there are ten brick and mortar stores, plus a huge presence online, where the company sells a massive variety of ski and snowboarding equipment and apparel.
