Anyone who likes shopping from home via the Internet in a pillow fortress with unbrushed hair and bunny slippers has the Home Shopping Network to thank. Back in 1985, shopping from home was a novel concept. HSN used their TV channel to forge the way for the at-home shopping phenomenon. Whether on TV or on the web, HSN offers just about any sort of product a consumer could ever wish to buy, except ponies and dragons. They don't even sell books on ponies and dragons. But they do sell pet care supplies, so dragon tamers might still find something of use.
