Back in the days of horse-drawn carriages, hats were an essential part of everyday fashion. It was in these days, back in 1895, that Cassel Goorin decided to take his artistry and craftsmanship to the streets of Pittsburgh, PA, selling his hats from a cart as he roamed around town. From these humble beginnings, the idea of the neighborhood hat shop has been reborn and is better than ever. In 2006, Cassel Goorin's great grandson Ben took over the family business with an eye for fashion and a compass pointed toward the future. Vintage equipment and original technologies are still employed for many of the hats created created by Goorin Hats. Creativity and craftsmanship are two principles used for each and every hat created by the artisans at this company.
