Geffen is a well known theater in Los Angeles, California, celebrated for its intimate atmosphere and nationally recognized plays. The Geffen Playhouse was originally constructed as a Masonic Clubhouse in the 1920's.
The playhouse has formed important relationships with both Tony Award and Pulitzer Prize winning playwrights in order to bring in unique new productions every year. Some past plays featured at Geffen include All My Sons, Looking For Normal and The Quality of Life, to name a few. Many of these works and the artists in these works have been awarded by the Los Angeles Drama Critics Circle and Back Stage West Garland.
