The power woman's time has come. Today, women are succeeding in business like never before. Although women have established themselves as equally capable to men, we still want to be acknowledged as women; and part of being a woman is looking our best. Estée Lauder was one of the original power women who paved the way and made this possible. Born to immigrant parents, Estée's lifelong ambition led her to become a successful entrepreneur with the cosmetics company she co-founded in 1946. The company began selling homemade face creams but eventually grew to include hundreds of makeup, skincare and body products. Estée pioneered invitation-only events, free samples and clever product names. Estée's granddaughter, Aerin, is the new power woman as creative director. The company, which still bears Estée's name, is now an international conglomerate, encompassing many well-known brands and a reputation for being on the cutting edge of skincare advances.
