Dollywood is the theme park and family fun center owned by award-winning country music legend and actress, Dolly Parton. Located in the heart of the beautiful Smoky Mountains, in Dolly’s native Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, the park boasts 150 acres of thrill rides in conjunction with demonstrations celebrating the area’s traditional arts and crafts and live music entertainment by Ms. Parton and many other world-famous country artists. The park includes the Southern Gospel Museum and Hall of Fame, several theaters, Craftsman’s Valley, a narrow gauge steam train, a zip line and the “Chasing Rainbows” Dolly Parton museum. Since the park’s founding in 1961, it has changed owners and names several times, becoming Dollywood in 1986. Alongside the theme park are Dollywood’s Splash Country Water Adventure Park, Dollywood guest cabins offering exceptional mountain views, and opening Summer 2015, the 100-acre Dollywood’s DreamMore Resort, featuring 300 guest rooms and a down-home experience.
