Creative Deal HuntingPackage Deals
Some items, such as cameras, are available individually or in a package deal. Shopping for package deals can land you freebees on accessories or, at least, save you over $100 on the products you want and the items they work best with.
When To Shop
Best Buy has a ton of sales. They regularly offer special 2-day sales that tend to occur around a holiday weekend, like President's Day or the 4th of July. It's usually best to shop on Friday to get the best selection, as the sale will only last Friday and Saturday. Black Friday bargain hunters that want to get a head start on their shopping should remember that the Black Friday sale starts on Thanksgiving Day. Keep an eye out for deals after the Super Bowl (February and March), when many items, including as electronics, are greatly marked down and discontinued model prices are slashed.
How Experts Save Even MoreShopping Online vs In-Store
Shopping online does have some advantages that in-store shopping does not have. Hot items are usually easier to get when you order them online with the in-store pickup option. When doing in-store pickup, your order is often ready within 30 minutes. Most items also have free shipping, cutting down on your commuting cost. Don't count the Best Buy physical store out -- there are perks of shopping there too, such as open box and clearance merchandise, where you'll often save 5 to 10%; plus these items come with a full warranty.
Best Buy will match competitors' prices, including Amazon.com and warehouse clubs. Best Buy will even do price adjustments. If you purchase an item and it goes on sale within 15 days of your purchase, Best Buy will readjust the price and give you the sale price.
