Alaska Airlines' beginnings were truly humble. It all started back in 1932 when pilot Mac McGee and his three-seater began flying people from Bristol Bay to Anchorage, Alaska and back. The company grew from there, slowly buuilding one of the biggest fleets in the United States. Today, over 75 years later, they fly over 17 million customers to more than 60 destinations in three different countries every year (the United States, Canada and Mexico), making them the seventh largest airline in America. These days, they're known for their colorfully-painted planes, low fares and stellar in-flight service.
