About a week before the spring musical, I figured it was time to spring some news on Mr. Third Grader. He has loved being in the high-school play, but I was wondering if this might be a deal-breaker.
"You might have to wear makeup for the show," I told him. "What do you think about that?"
"I wore makeup for the first-grade play, Mom," he reminded me. "I can do it. As long as they don’t make me wear lipstick. Or mascara. Or cover-up."
A boy has his limits, after all.
"Mom, what is cover-up, anyway?"
