Mid-March is one of my very favorite sports seasons: it's time for the NCAA basketball tournament. I love March Madness!
While I spend the bulk of the college-basketball season following only one team (Go Irish!) I'm happy to spend the last half of March watching as much basketball as I can manage.
Selection Sunday is this weekend, and the first game will tip off on Tuesday, March 15. Mr. Third Grader, our resident sports-fan extraordinaire, will keep me posted on the number-one seeds and their progress. While I'm never good at predicting the Sweet Sixteen, never mind the winner, I'm going to fill out my bracket with high hopes. I'm betting, though, that my nine-year-old's bracket will be more accurate than mine, as he'll be filling his in based on teams' records, while I take a more sentimental road. (Go Irish!)
