The Showboat Casino Hotel in Atlantic City, NJ is the first casino in that gaming resort to begin a "Pet Stay" program. Travelers visiting the Showboat with their dogs will find that canines are welcome in certain hotel rooms and designated public areas of the resort, including the lobby--but not the casino floor.
That's right; you won't be seeing any teacup poodles at the roulette tables...yet.
But visitors to the Showboat and their small dogs will find organic dog treats, food and water bowls and disposable waste bags courtesy of the hotel. It's a way to attract a broader customer base and promote the hotel--and the city--as a desirable tourist destination.
