Want to save money on airfare?  It's not necessarily about when you fly--right now, it's all about when you buy.


If you're shopping for your airline ticket on a Saturday,you'll pay more than you will if you purchase that ticket on Tuesday, according to The Wall Street Journal.

This article also mentions that airlines' increasing use of social media is leading to "one-hour-only" deals advertised on Facebook and Twitter.

And for the best savings, shop and fly midweek.  Tuesdays and Wednesdays are cheap days to travel--and cheap days to buy tickets.  The best prices can be had with at least 14 days advance notice.  If you can, plan your trip accordingly; you'll have more cash left to enjoy yourself when you reach your destination!  After all, timing is everything.
