Given the weather on this Groundhog Day, if that rodent sees his shadow, I'll know this is all a fix.
The
every-four-days-snowy weather here in the Northeast has us all feeling like we're living in a Bill Murray movie. And I've been convinced for quite a while that there's no way Punxsutawney Phil could miss seeing his shadow, with those floodlights all over the place. Sure, natural light doesn't make good TV, but hearing year in and year out that we've got six more weeks of winter gets a little old.
A friend of mine and I have been cooking up a plan. She suggested that it's time to take some drastic action. I'm with her. If Phil knows what's good for him, he'll stay inside today. My friend has a classic car, and it happens to be a convertible. It might be time to stage a new movie: Thelma and Louise Vs. the Groundhog.
There's just one small problem: convertibles and snowstorms don't mix. Back to the drawing board!
