In each different sport, there's a dress code for the coach. Baseball coaches wear pinstripes, just like their players. Football coaches wear khaki pants and golf shirts until the weather turns cold and they grab a windbreaker or North Face jacket. But the award for Sport with the Best-Dressed Coaches undoubtedly goes to basketball. Most college basketball coaches stand courtside, smartly dressed in a crisp suit and tie.
I've been watching Notre Dame basketball for decades now, and the current coach's wardrobe annoys me. Yes, he's sporting the pinstripes, but his trademark black turtleneck makes the guy look like a thug.
Compare the Irish coach (on the left) to Duke's Coach K (on the right.) Who would you pick as the better-dressed coach?

I think that Frank Martin (Kansas St b-ball coach) looks more like a thug than the ND coach…or maybe he looks more like a demon. Check out these pics. It’s not so much his clothing. It’s his eyes that freak me out. There is malice in those eyes. He’s also a very big man. I see him in my nightmares.
