I am the chairperson of a community organization, but sometimes it feels more like I am the official typesetter.
This is probably my own fault,
as I should have delegated some of this responsibility to the organization's secretary, but it seemed easier to do it myself than to explain to her what needed to be done. But after canceling a meeting earlier this week due to the snowstorm we received Tuesday into Wednesday, I had to take care of business somehow.
That meant that I had to do a mass mailing including a two-page newsletter and a survey, complete with self-addressed stamped envelope for easy return, that would allow members of the group to "vote" on certain matters--since we couldn't be together to do that in person.
That also meant that I had to fight with my printer to get it to spit out two sheets of address labels, as well as figure out how to feed the newsletters into the printer so the second side would be printed right-side-up. I wound up with at least a dozen newsletters ruined because I had page 1 printed on both sides of the paper. I hope I weeded all of those out before sealing the envelopes! But I'm sure that if I didn't, someone will let me know.
