Over New Year's weekend, we drove north on the New Jersey Turnpike on the way to see my family. Along the way, we passed a large billboard advertising the increasing MegaMillions jackpot.
My husband always buys a few lottery tickets when the jackpot gets huge. As the old lottery slogan used to say, "you've gotta be in it to win it." The idea of winning a giant lottery jackpot always gets him thinking of how he'd spend it, so to pass the time on the long car ride, he asked the kids to think about what they would do if they won all that money.
It didn't take our older son long to come up with an answer. "I'd buy everything in the music store."
"You mean one of every item?" I asked.
"No, I mean all of it."
"Where would you put it all?"
"I guess I'd buy the building too, and then it would be my own personal music room. My friends and I could go there anytime and play all my instruments."
Sounds good to me. After all, as the other old lottery slogan goes, "all you need is a dollar and a dream."

When I hit the lotto, I would first buy nice new house, buy nice car and suv. Pay off my credit cards, student loan. I would also pay of my parent's house and give them $250,000. And I would buy my brother new house and give him some cash.
