Where's your gym?  Or maybe the better question is:  who's your gym's neighbor?

Driving around town with my daughter the other day, I observed that every single gym in our zip code is located adjacent to fast food.

Lucille Roberts is next to a Chinese buffet, with Chick-Fil-A across the parking lot.  Curves is right by Subway and the liquor store.  And Giant Fitness rubs elbows with McDonald's, Wendy's and the diner.

Now, after a good workout, you're probably going to be pretty hungry.  You could conveniently cancel out your entire exercise session by visiting any of these neighboring restaurants.  So there's a "which came first--the chicken nugget or the fried egg" thing going on here.  Did the gym rent space next to the restaurant to attract overeaters who feel guilty about the giant hoagie or Big Mac?  Or did the restaurant rent space next to the gym to attract hungry exercisers?

There might be some advantages to working out at home!
