Maybe the better question is: how big is too big?
Size does matter, you know.
And I cannot get along with one of those little tiny handbags. What good is a bag that's big enough only for a lipstick, driver's license and cell phone? I can fit more than that in my wallet. To me, a bigger bag is always better.
Problem is, when I can carry more stuff, I do carry more stuff. My handbag's cargo seems to expand to fit the size of the bag I'm carrying. If I'm only going to the supermarket, do I really need to bring along my Kindle, iPod, and all the over-the-counter medicines that everyone in the family is currently taking?
Maybe there should be a self-help group for people like me, whose handbags weigh more than the combined birth weight of all three of their children, and who've got a complete medicine cabinet and first-aid kit at their disposal at all times.
