On the night of the school play, the primary-grade kids showed off their musical, artistic and dramatic talents. The Christmas pageant featured: 
TWELVE can-can dancers kicking in opposite directions and narrowly missing each other
ELEVEN singers swaying (also in opposite directions)
TEN mixed-up lyrics
NINE battery-operated candles, three of which didn't light up during the performance
EIGHT sets of homemade reindeer antlers
SEVEN-year-olds lisping Christmas carols because they're missing their front teeth
SIX tinsel halos
FIVE missed cues
FOUR teachers ducking under video cameras to direct "traffic"
THREE first-graders who nearly came to blows over who got to stand where on the top riser
TWO top hats (one with red glitter)
and ONE light-up star.
