We have two printers in our home office: a color inkjet printer and a black-and-white laser printer. For most printing jobs, the laser printer works fine. It's more economical to run--and more conveniently located.
I do a decent amount of printing, especially when there are good printable coupons for things on my grocery list. But the problem with the laser printer is that there's no indicator of when the toner is low--the little red signal light doesn't turn on until it's almost too late. On the other hand, my color inkjet printer will flash warnings on my screen as soon as the ink cartridges dip below 50% capacity, and if one of them empties out, the printer won't function at all until I replace it.
My husband noticed that the papers he's printed out lately on the laser printer are looking a little light; it looks like it's time to buy the toner.
Murphy's Law of Office Equipment states that your printer is going to run out of ink or toner (whichever one it uses) when you're right in the middle of a multi-page report for work or school. So I'm going to check out these deals on laser toner cartridges before I have to let my color printer use all its colors to mix its own black ink, just so I can print out Mr. Third-Grader's school lunch calendar.
