Black Friday is known for some of the best bargains you'll get all year. But many people, myself included, do not want to go anywhere near a mall at 3 AM on Black Friday or at any other time on that very busy shopping day! I did that once, and I'll never do it again. I will admit that the first couple of stores were not too bad, though waiting an hour in line to buy a cartful of toys got old after about the first five minutes. The toddler in the cart in front of mine took the opportunity to catch up on sleep, and I wished I could have done the same.
But then, as I approached the third store, I saw the ambulances and police cars parked outside the front entrance, and decided that no bargain was worth the kind of near-riot that had happened at that store only moments before my arrival.
I'll shop online this year, thanks! The bargains are just as good--and I don't have to go out into the cold, dark night.
