A couple of weeks ago, I traveled to rural northern New Jersey to visit my parents and attend a football game.
While on the road, I enjoyed some of the state's most beautiful scenery at my favorite time of year: the leaves were at their peak of fall color.
I wished I had my camera. Then I thought better of it.
I've got thousands of photos stored on my computer, as well as on a bunch of CDs. Yet I haven't had even one photo from the past five years printed and framed. Are there any suitable for framing? Certainly! We've celebrated three graduations, one first day of kindergarten, and my youngest child's first loose tooth--among many other photo-worthy occasions.
So what made me think that any pictures of the gorgeous fall scenery would wind up anywhere except on my memory card and hard drive? If I can't even finish documenting my kids' milestones, there's no reason I'd bother with Mother Nature's.
