Is it getting to that time of year when you feel more stressed than serene? Maybe now that we've turned the clocks back one hour, all that afternoon darkness is getting you down.
I know it gets me down--I can't send Mr. Third Grader outside to play basketball in our neighbor's streetside court when it's dark outside. That means that by 5:00 he's in the house, driving me crazy by playing Nerf basketball right behind my chair.
I don't think this whole desk-in-the-family-room thing is going to work out. That Nerf hoop is going to be my undoing for sure.
So what's a mom to do if she doesn't have a tub like this where she can relax away the worries and aggravations of the day with a nice bubble bath, candles and maybe even a glass of white wine? Because frankly, that's not going to happen in my house. I don't have a tub like that, scented candles give me asthma attacks, and I used up all the wine last time I made Chicken Piccata.
