Using coupons sure can come in handy when you want to save money.  So here's the question:  you've saved the money.  Now what are you going to do with it?

There are several strategies that come to mind for putting those savings to good use:

Add up your savings and take them straight to a special bank account.  You can even use an online bank account for this.  Save up for something special:  that vacation getaway, a kitchen remodel, Christmas presents or whatever else your heart desires.  I know people who sock away their grocery-coupon savings all year long toward their Christmas budgets.

Buy more stuff! Since you bought that item "under budget," the rest of the money is available to spend.

Reward yourself.  That's money you've earned by shopping smart.  Is there something special you've been wanting?

If I'm under-budget on groceries, I roll that over to the next week.  That lets me keep the pantry and freezer well-stocked.  As for other savings, I'm thinking that I like the whole savings-account idea.  That'll help me plan ahead for Christmas 2011!
