Halloween's coming!  I can tell by the signs:

  • My neighbor's got her scarecrow out in front of the house already, anchored by a bale of straw.
  • When you pass by the Walgreens on the highway, there's a giant spider with a really creepy look on his face hanging from the store ceiling.  You can see it through the windows.  Don't drive by at night with the kids or they'll have nightmares for sure.
  • The families in the next neighborhood over have started the Inflatable Wars.  This year's challenge:  who's got the biggest spider?  I think the guy with the giant purple insect that lights up at night is definitely the winner of this year's contest.
  • Spiders really seem to be taking over this year.  But it would take a lot for me to walk past a decoration like this one at night!  I wonder if any kids would be scared away from trick-or-treating there.
