While talking with a neighbor recently, I mentioned that Mr. Third Grader is a big fan of big breakfasts. Most days before school he eats two waffles and four pieces of buttered toast.  Sometimes he changes it up and has a bowl of oatmeal before digging in to the toast.

Mr. Third Grader is not a big kid.  He's on the short side, and he has to wear a belt with his pants even if I bought the "slim" kind.  Granted, he never stops moving.  It's rare that we get a photo of him where he isn't blurry.  When we take him bowling, he will release the ball and then jump up and down until the ball hits the pins.  I saw him do the same thing last week at soccer practice while the coach explained a drill the team was going to run.

Some people would say that he's built for speed.  Many people wonder where he puts all that breakfast.  All I know is, I wish I had his metabolism!
