"Cover your dish in the microwave!"
I should take my own advice. One evening last week I was warming up some baked beans left over from a picnic. I didn't heat them long enough, so I figured I'd just put my dinner plate in the microwave.
A minute later, it sounded like I had a bag of popcorn in there. That's when I knew I was in trouble.
There were more beans on the walls, ceiling, and door of the microwave than there were on my plate. They even got in between the turntable and the bottom.
So much for enjoying my evening meal; I spent the next 20 minutes with the Windex and paper towels, trying to undo the damage one minute of uncovered food had done.

hahahha-I am so sorry to laugh at your expense but I enjoyed the annology of the beans sounding like a bag of popcorn! That made me laugh so hard! Guess it was a lesson well learned-so sorry you had to learn it the not so easy way. I did enjoy the story though!! You gave me some very good advise!

Kelly, if I didn't anticipate a laugh at my expense, I wouldn't have told the story! I figured at that point, I could either laugh or scream. It's a much better lesson for my kids if I choose to laugh.
