The bridal shower began with all the guests wondering what to say when the bride-to-be walked in, since the occasion wasn't going to be a surprise. 
When she finally got there, we all settled for clapping at her entrance on the arm of her fiancé.
At least we didn't have to play too many games at this shower. The bridal party settled on only one game: Bride Bingo. After a little initial confusion over making our own Bingo cards, the guests at our table decided to put our heads together and guarantee a winner. We were instructed to fill in the squares on our Bingo cards with the presents we thought the bride would receive. So we went around the table and asked each person what gift she had brought--then we all wrote in that gift on our Bingo cards. No surprise there--with eight people at our table (all the other tables had six at the most) we had the winning-est table at the shower. I think five out of eight guests at our table won a prize at Bingo.
Once the Bingo prizes ran out (most of them going to our table) the bride gave up on announcing what each package held, and the guests lost interest in watching her open everything. Audience or no, the bride and groom were showered with just about everything they could need or want as they begin their lives together.
