Finally this summer we had a cool day--the temperature was only forecast to hit 86. After six heat waves this season, 86 is almost chilly. Some friends and I decided to take advantage of the nice weather and take our kids to the Philadelphia Zoo.
Once we loaded up the minivans, we had four moms, six kids (ranging in age from ten to four), two vans, a double stroller and one wagon. We were a big bunch, and most of us adults had one goal in mind: to leave the zoo with as many kids as we brought in, and with a minimum of injuries, temper tantrums and bellyaches.
One of our friends brought along a camera, and she somehow managed to use it. I have no idea how she did it, but she found the opportunity to snap 70 pictures of our day at the zoo. I'm really glad she took the photos and shared them with all of us, because I got to see all the animals I didn't see at the zoo. I was too busy counting heads to look at many animals. That rhino right by the fence? I never saw him.
Somehow my friend managed to keep track of her little boy and take pictures that provided all of us with memories of our fun day at the zoo. She can be the designated photographer anytime!
