When my kids and I got Snuggies for Christmas, I figured they'd be extremely useful during the colder months and then be forgotten about until after Halloween. 
I figured wrong.
Since we have a three-level house with single-zone heating and cooling, the family room is always the chilliest place in the house. If we don't keep it that cold, it's unbearably hot in the upstairs bedrooms. But during the day, everyone's hanging out in the family room. Often the kids come in there, fresh from the pool.
Mr. Third Grader keeps his Snuggie handy in the family room for those chilly times. I'll find him wearing his bathing suit, swim goggles around his neck, and covered up with his Snuggie so he can stay toasty while he has his after-swim snack.
The other day I saw a beach-towel Snuggie--that would be perfect for him!
