So there we were, on my daughter's graduation day, and we were stuck in a seat that didn't allow us a very good view, let alone a photo opportunity.
How could I refuse when Mr. Third Grader offered to take my camera and sneak down to the front to get a shot of his sister receiving her diploma?
Turns out that I should have. I'd have saved lots of battery charge and room on my memory card. My younger son is unable to stay still whether he's posing for a picture or behind the camera, and this was the undoing of every single picture.
I now have 36 blurry pictures of students receiving diplomas. I have no idea which blurry person is my daughter, though I have narrowed it down to about half the images, as the boys and girls wore different-colored graduation gowns.
In between snapping blurry pictures, my son worked his way closer and closer to the diploma table, sticking his hand out for a high-five from every boy who graduated (the girls were seated on the other side).
Good thing I have friends who sat in a different spot and were able to get good pictures! If it weren't for them, I'd have no shots at all of this very special day.
