orite video game allows them to perfect their swordfighting skills--because you never know when you're going to need those.
No, they're not playing a Star Wars-themed lightsaber game, though that wouldn't be out of character for either of them.
The game they're playing is not the kind of game I'd expect to have swordfighting. I knew that there was archery and basketball in this game, and that my kids would enjoy both of those. But who knew that, in Wii Sports Resort, they'd also get to try Frisbee®, Cycling, Canoeing, Power Cruising, Table Tennis, Air Sports, Bowling, Golf and Wakeboarding?
I'm not so surprised about some of these, but I'd have suspected that Croquet, Bocce and Shuffleboard would be more likely candidates for a resort-themed video game.
I guess Nintendo had the right idea, though--and they're probably glad they didn't consult with me when they planned which sports they'd include. My kids are having a great time with the swordfighting game.
