I'm caught here in Browser Limbo.

A couple of weeks ago, my laptop slowed down to a virtual crawl. I have no idea what happened, but it was taking me forever to get the simplest websites to load.  And my work requires me to use the internet and look at lots of websites.

So I took drastic action:  I switched browsers.

I am very loyal to the way I do things on the computer.  Any change of operating system, software, or browser comes with a big learning curve for me.  So it was no fun to figure out how to export my bookmarks from Firefox and then import them into Internet Explorer.  Not all of them got there, either.  So that was a few hours of work just to transfer that information.  And once I was done, I figured out how much easier this all would have been if I just used Delicious to save my bookmarks instead of letting the browser do the indexing.

Anyway.

I haven't completely made the switch.  I've found that some websites work better on IE, but Firefox is still my favorite.  So now I'm multitasking according to what works fastest.  I'm not sure that's the fastest way, either.  But there's got to be some way to improve my productivity.
