We've recently gotten the capability of watching movies streamed over the internet through our Wii video-game console.
This has led us to take advantage of our Netflix membership in a whole new way.
Not every movie is available for instant streaming, but there's an awful lot to choose from. Those that are unavailable will come to us the old-fashioned way: DVDs through the mail. And that's fine too. But we are enjoying this new feature that Netflix offers.
After queuing up the movies and programs you want to watch, you just slip the DVD into the Wii and turn it on. I don't do video games, but I can manage to watch a movie this way! Your whole queue will scroll across the TV screen, and you can choose what you wish to view.
My husband and older kids have been using this feature very heavily in the past couple of weeks. They're catching up on the first few seasons of "Lost." I, on the other hand, wait until everyone's out of the house so I can watch twenty-year-old episodes of cheesy sitcoms like "Kate and Allie." I can't wait to see what other old shows and movies will be offered as the selection of streamed movies grows!
