Anyone want to be in charge of taking my teenage daughter bathing-suit shopping? 
I'm really dreading it. This is not going to be pretty.
It used to be so easy to take my daughter shopping. When she was little, her only requirements were that something be pink, frilly, and have a skirt that would stand out when she twirled.
Those were wonderful days.
Last week we went shopping for something she could wear on Easter. She refused to even look at anything pink, preferring the black-and-slinky look for a morning church service. I refused to go along with that. Both of us lost our patience, and then our tempers--and she lost the opportunity for a new outfit.
And now she's bugging me to buy her a new swimsuit. I can hardly wait. It's not like she's going to pick anything she could actually swim in--then, once summer comes, she'll complain that she needs a suit that stays in place when she goes off the high dive.
